Measuring the pH of food requires a specialised pH electrode. Conventional pH electrodes will work but they will have a much shorter life when used to measure food products because the reference junction becomes clogged with food particles. The response time will also be slower and results can become inaccurate. Conventional electrodes are also more difficult to keep clean as food products are often sticky or difficult to remove when dry.
The HI-99161 food pH meter is supplied complete with a specialised food pH electrode designed to overcome these problems.
Easy to use and keep clean
The meter itself is quick and easy to use and keep clean. It is also fully water resistant.
A large LCD screen displays continuous readout of pH and temperature. It also offers step by step guidance for pH calibration.
The meter is compact and robust and can be fitted with an optional rubber sleeve which offers impact protection in case it is accidentally dropped. This can be easily removed for cleaning.
