Filter Stages Stage 1 - Sediment Pre-Filter: For the removal of sediments, dirt, sand and rust.
Stage 2 - Carbon Block Pre-Filter: removes chlorine and organic chemicals that contribute to bad taste and odours.
Stage 3 - GAC Pre-Filter: a bed of granular activated carbon that absorbs chlorine and organic chemicals to improve taste and odour.
Stage 4 & 5 - Membrane: Reverse Osmosis membranes are semi-permeable removing up to 99% of contaminants present in water including viruses, bacteria, heavy metals, fluoride, hormones, silica and salts.
The effectiveness and productivity of RO systems increase with greater water pressure and temperature. The actual flow rate (in GPD) of any reverse osmosis system depends on your home water pressure and temperature.
Dual Membranes reduce the amount of waste water produced and the built in booster pump will help where inlet water pressure is low or inconsistent to maintain the right amount of pressure the membranes need to produce double the amount of good quality pure water.
Please note the colour may slightly vary from the picture however the unit funtionality will remain the same. Stock at the moment is white pre filters, clear post filter and grey membrane housings.
Ideal for aquariums, window cleaning and car washing. Can also be used for drinking water when combined with our pressure tank kit and/or the dispensing tap with pressure valve.

Manufacturers recommend 60 psi is required at the membrane for full production, not everyone's cold water is at 60 psi and 77 degrees F; therefore, you might get less than 50 GPD, perhaps 50% or even less if your pressure and temperature are very low! Please consider these factors before you finally decide on which system is best for you.

Filter ReplacementPre-filters should be replaced every 6 months or 2500gallons (or when visibly dirty) . If any of your pre filters are exhausted, using the unit will put additional pressure on the membrane. Filters are much cheaper to replace than a damaged membrane, which are also available on the website.
Pump CareDo not run a pump continuously for more than 4 hours or allow a pump to run dry. Doing so will cause the pump to overheat and become damaged. So that you do not need to manually turn the system on and off every 4 hours, we suggest installing a timer to give the pump a thirty minute break so that it will cool down. We also recommend you install a low pressure switch before your pump so that it does not run dry with little feed flow. A pump should also be mounted using the built in mounting holes to stop the pump from getting damaged through uncontrolled vibration.
If any of the above directions are not followed, the warranty of the pump will be null and void. We will ask for evidence of you following the above directions and will not issue a warranty replacement without any.
